Monte Vista Projects 2026 Curated Open Call
CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

We are excited to announce the Monte Vista Projects 2026 Curated Open Call, an exhibition that will explore ways of being and knowing Los Angeles. In this fifth iteration of our Open Call, Monte Vista encourages artists over 18 years old in Los Angeles and surrounding counties to submit up to two works for consideration. Submissions will be curated by the current membership of Monte Vista Projects and selected works will be part of a group exhibition at the Monte Vista Projects gallery opening July 18th, 2026
The artwork submission deadline is Friday, May 15. Read the submission requirements and submit your work here.
Submission Requirements:
Age: Artists must be over the age of 18
Residency: All artists are welcome to apply, however all work must be delivered to the gallery and we are not able to receive shipped work. If you would need to ship the work to Los Angeles, please make arrangements for that work to be delivered and picked up from the gallery.
Accepted Mediums: All works must be able to be mounted on the wall or stand freely on a surface.
Size: Work must be able to fit through the 6’ x 3’ doorway
Date of Work: Work should be completed within the last two years.
Entry Fee: Artists can submit up to two works for consideration for a fee of $20*

For each work you submit you must title your files as follows:
Artist Last Name_Artist First Name_Title_.jpg
(File name example: Smith_Jane_Untitled-water-drawing.jpg)
**Please note that incorrectly titled images may not be considered**Sales: Work should be available for sale, all sales of accepted work will be facilitated by Monte Vista
Artwork Delivery: Artwork must be complete and ready to install for drop-off. If selected, artists must be able to drop off and pick up work on the designated dates. No shipping will be allowed.
Submission Materials:
Brief Artist Statement (250 words)
Up to two submissions Please include title, year, material and dimensions Please title submitted files with First Name_Last Name_ Image Number_Title. Files should not exceed 4 MB per image
Any optional additional information about the work. Feel free to add a link for more context. (150 words)
