Donna Coppola’s work as a Los Angeles chef informs her artistic practice as much as her exhibitions and guerilla performances.
A graduate of the double degree program between Tufts University and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, she holds a BA magna cum laude in art history and a BFA in studio art, with a concentration in performance and installation.
Her approach has always been interdisciplinary. She has been head chef at the popular and beloved Auntie Em's Kitchen since 2004, and has played in the California krautrock band The Faraway Places since1998. In Boston, she was part of the Mobius Artists Group (1998-2001) and also worked as the Communications Director at the Mobius art space (1997-2000).
